How to Bake a Crunch Treat for Your Pooch

My pups love when I can bake for them, and I love that these recipes are simple, healthy & low cost! One of my favorite books, 'Cooking for Your Dog' by Ingeborg Pils has wonderful recipes. Try this one!

"A Crunchy Cure for Wind"

2 1/2 cups gluten-free flour

1 egg

3 tlbs olive oil

1/2 cup skimmed milk

1 tsp each finely chopped mint & parsley

Mix the four, egg, olive oil and milk to make dough, not too firm, adding a little water or flour if necessary. Finally, mix in the chopped herbs.

Preheat the oven to 345 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover a baking sheet with baking parchment.

Put portions of the dough into an icing bag with a star trip and squeeze out different shapes onto the baking sheet. Bake in the hot oven for 15-20 minutes. Turn off the heat & allow the dog cookies to dry for another hour in the oven
